When we look to the future of supply chains, there is a wealth of unexplored or underexplored opportunities for businesses to capitalise on. The rapid, and increasing, pace of technological and operational innovation presents forward-thinking businesses with dynamic options to develop their supply chain resilience, sustainability and productivity.

Growing geopolitical uncertainty raises complex questions for supply chain managers, as exemplified in recent years through the major systemic shocks of COVID, Brexit, the Suez Canal blockage, and conflict in Ukraine. In our increasingly globalised world, the pace of change and disruption are only likely to accelerate, placing knowledge, expertise and preparedness at a premium.

It is within this broader dynamic landscape of challenges and opportunities that Loughborough University has joined with MIT CTL to offer UK businesses the chance to access industry-specific research, collaborations and supply chain learning. This partnership combines Loughborough’s expertise on topics like digitalisation and the circular economy with the decades of world-leading experience in supply chain innovation that MIT CTL provides.

By joining the symposium, you will have the chance to hear from industry leaders, renowned academics and policymakers, learning more about what the Centre will offer, including:

  • An exciting new Loughborough University-based MSc in Supply Chain Management, modeled on the successful MIT MSc programme, ranked #1 globally in the QS World University Rankings 2024.
  • Connecting to an international network, including exclusive MIT monthly research briefings which offer fascinating insights on the pioneering technologies shaping the future of the sector.
  • Access to executive education programmes including bi-annual intensive courses and the opportunity to commission bespoke, on-demand additional learning programmes to meet your business needs.
  • Opportunities to partner with and leverage the expertise of researchers for dedicated consultancy projects, along with single issue or broad scope research projects.
  • Invitations to industry-academic roundtables and networking events dedicated to supply-chain critical issues and developments.
